Doug is commencing his second term as your State Representative in Topeka
Doug is a former two term member of the Leawood City Council
A former member of the Oxford Park Academy School Board
Past President and Charter member of the Leawood Rotary
Doug has been a practicing land use attorney for 30 years
He currently runs his own law office in Leawood
Doug has two college students that attended Blue Valley schools
Member, Leawood Chamber
Family attends United Methodist Church of the Resurrection
Doug was elected, unanimously, by all Johnson County Representatives and Senators as the Chair of the Johnson County Legislative Delegation for 2003
Doug was elected by his peers in the Kansas House as the Republican Majority Whip for the 2003-2004 Session
Doug served as Vice-Chair of the House Judiciay Committee for 2003-2004 Session
During the 2003-2004 Session, Doug also served in the House Commerce and Labor Committee, House Rules Committee, Health and Human Services Committee, Judiciary Committee, Joint Committee on Tribal Affairs, Joint Committee on Bonds and other committees during the 2003-2004 Session.
